Hi.

We are not dead. And Skydiving was AMAZING!!! I already want to do it again, like, next weekend!! Matt LOVED it too and is planning to convince Tyler and Nate to do it once Nate is home from the mission (2 1/2 months!). C'mon you guys have to do it if your sister-in-law did;)

I have wanted to do this since I was a little girl and it was so fun to be able to do it with Matt. Just adding it to our many adventures together, many more to come.

p.s. I know we look like coneheads in that last pic. It was worth it.

p.s.s. I STILL need to post about my wonderful weekend adventure in Moab with Ma Stauffer. Soon to come.

Fantasy baseball. At least I know who my husband's mistress is.

Look, I'm a fan of sports. Always have been. I work in sports broadcasting hosting and producing a weekly sports magazine show. However, I have never witnessed such devotion, such feigned importance, as I have since marrying Mr. Matt Cook.

(Looking back I should've been tipped off during our honeymoon when our free time was spent watching the Little League World Series. I had no idea.)

Let me break down how my life might be different from the wives of men who instead only enjoy an occasional episode of Sports Center.

Valentines day? I give Matt Fantasy baseball magazines. He gives me an hour or so of his time--uninterrupted by the constant revision of his excel spreadsheets.

I hear Matt's computer clicking every 2 minutes or so once April 1st rolls around. After figuring his computer was just noisy, I have since discovered Matt refreshes Yahoo Game Cast about every 2 minutes. If not more frequently.

This next one I'm not sure how to describe in a lady-like way. Putting the overused "bases" analogy to use, I will say this: There have been times when I have tried to get to 3rd base with my husband, and he decides to get up and check on another 3rd baseman; A-Rod.

Last year I begged Matt to let me have my own team so that I could be involved and learn to understand this way of life. I received a staunch NO with the following reasons. And I quote,

" 1. You're a girl.  2. You might beat me  and 3. If you picked players based on their looks or last names and won, I'd be pissed."

Finally, nothing sums up my situation better than this. After a BYU vs. SDSU baseball game where I was assigned to San Diego's dugout, I gave my number to Justin Masterson and he asked me out. I told this story to Matt when we were dating to make him jealous (because I still had Justin's phone number). Instead he gave me serious look , then said " That is aawwweeesome." And then he called his younger brother, Tyler, to brag.

Well I didn't want to turn 24 but it happened anyway. It was a good day but  I can't wait for my birthday gift!!

I told Matt that this year ALL I wanted was to go skydiving with him. I'd heard about people going in Utah and Skydiving is something I have ALWAYS wanted to do. Thanks to Matt being willing to overcome his fear of heights we are officially jumping out of a plane March 28th!! I. CAN'T. WAIT!

I'm slowly knocking things off my 'things to do before i die (or have kids)' list.
This and Kauai are at the top. The rest will remain a secret...for now:)

Today my thoughts are wandering.

First, my lovely husband surprised me by bringing my beloved banana beach cruiser out of my grandparent's bike shed and getting it back to tip-top shape.  Today we had our 'season opener' ride around the neighborhood and it was glorious.

Awhile back I finished the Sarah Prine series and I'm seriously considering starting all over. Sarah, the main character, is my kind of woman. I think in my next life I will run a cattle ranch in Arizona with a baby in one arm and a shotgun in the other. Awesome.

Finally, my other dream has always been to live on the beach, eat fresh fruit, and bodysurf all day. Matt and I are currently planning a trip which will allow me to live out said dream for a few days. I hear a snow storm is predicted for Thursday so this definitely gives me something to look forward to.
