Baby Girl

I don't post a lot about pregnancy. Maybe I should. I try to keep a separate journal but blogging is so much easier sometimes. 7 months along now and I have found this whole experience to be very very personal and I have loved every stage. It's thrilling to just sit and feel her kick and bump around while no one else knows. I can already tell I am going to miss it once she's here--although I am SO excited to get her here!

I've found I develop personal attachments to music--certain songs hold different meanings and memories for me. I think this is probably because my parents exposed us to a variety of music genres growing up. Something new was always playing. My "first" concert was before I was born--my Mom was around 8 months pregnant when she went with my Dad to see Elton John in concert. Growing up I loved hearing that story.

I've been listening a lot to Eddie Vedder's Ukulele Songs album. This song especially makes me think of our soon-to-arrive baby. It's on repeat and will be one of her special songs.

Unintentionally following in the footsteps of my parents, Matt and I have tickets to see Mr. Vedder in Concert in a couple weeks. And I will be...you guessed it...8 months pregnant haha.

Sometimes Matt and I can't believe it when we stop and think that we will soon be parents, but this is what we have really wanted. We are so very grateful we get to start this next chapter of our lives.
