El Fin

Matt is officially DONE with FINALS!! And I am oh so happy. For more on this...I hand the laptop over to Mr. Cook himself:

Well this blog is a very special place, because it allows the world to hear my thoughts.  Pretty scary what the internet has done.  I finished school yesterday and don't start my internship until the beginning of June, so I pretty much have a 1 month vacation.  Of course I am going to go to the gym every day to keep Toni off my back (Just kidding Toni).

I'm excited for a couple of things now that school has ended.
1.  I get to spend more time with my wife
2.  I get to go golfing whenever I want
3.  I get to watch my Celtics for the next couple of months

I'm out......Matt Cook

Okay well there you have it folks. I want Matt to be more involved in this whole blogging thing even if it is just giving us all a rundown on how he'll spend his free time. Of course I'M hoping that the next month will ALSO involve
1. A weekend at Grandpa Dave's in Inkom Idaho
2. A trip to Disneyland! (seriously, I really want to go)
3. AND success in finding our residence for next year.
Any of you married people in Provo have any suggestions?

thoughts.

Warning: These are my random thoughts expressed in text because...it's Monday. Enough said.

  • Even though I graduated last April I am still feeling the stress of finals because Matt is always busy studying and I just want to go play! But the end is in sight. Wednesday, good or bad, it will all be over! yay.

                  • I now seem to have calculated the equation for how much time I have before Matt talks in his sleep. About 1hr 45min after he passes out is when he begins to ramble, and then again around 3:30am. If those times overlap he may even get up and walk around...asleep.

Zzzzz's Last night the ramblings were about Peru, usually it's the Red Sox or Econ. Oh well I'll put up with it...with a face like that how could I not?! :)

                  • I made really good chicken enchiladas for dinner yesterday, and I look forward to having them for lunch today.

                              • Today looks promising but Utah weather is crazy. Last week Matt and I played tennis in 75 degree weather one day, the next day? Snow. Not loving that. I am definitely a warm weather girl...

                              True Blue

So, for those of you who don't know I work for a wonderful BYU Sports show at KBYU called True Blue. It has kept me busy and kept my sports broadcasting skills sharp while Matt is finishing his education. It seriously is such a great job.

And, my family gets to watch every Wednesday since KBYU is broadcast nation-wide.
Anyway, BYU sports holds an awards show every year for their athletes and this year Jarom (another True Bluer) and I got to do a Y-Awards "Blue" carpet pre-show. We interviewed some of the athletes and award presenters before the show.

Honestly it was funny having to get semi-formally dressed up. I don't love dress shopping(trust me, it's not that fun when you are tall and nothing fits!). I kinda hoped my wedding dress would be the last formal I'd have to deal with. However, Modest By Design sponsored the event so we had to wear their apparel. Ok, ok, it wasn't THAT bad:)

Shaun Bradley is very tall, 7'6" to be exact...So I had to ask him to sit on
the piano bench for the interview! He was very nice and kindly obliged.
Here are a few other fun pics from the night.

Watch TRUE BLUE!! Wednesdays at 4:30! I love my job.

                              Spring Break with the Stauffer-Cooks!

I am always excited for the end of March because it means spring break for my family and every year they come to Utah and visit!! This year the Cook's made the trip as well to go to conference and spend time with family. It was such a fun (and busy) week!          A super fun trip to FatCat's for some VERY competitive bowling!!

Honestly, I just have a really really ridiculously  good looking family.
                              It's a blessing and a curse...

Quote of the week, "It's Good!"

Out to support "The Juggernauts"! Matt's intramural basketball team. They made it all the way to the final four!
                              Classic.
Matt also got Janice and Ashlee to rock out on guitar hero. Seriously
                              priceless moments!

                              *The Battling Beauties*
Baby Bryson getting a little treat from Grandma:)
I just got some awesome Cook Family pics in the mail but I still need to scan them and get them on here! Until then, here is the one I stole from Jamie's blog:)
We are extremely grateful for such wonderul families and we had SOO much fun with everyone! We hope to see you guys very very soon!!
